Sufficiency and Regeneration
Sufficiency and Regeneration
When the planet’s limits become non-negotiable, the question arises: can we, in the near future, implement practices and policies that reduce the demand for energy, materials, land, and water, while still ensuring the well-being of communities?
To avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, it is urgent that we reflect on how to regenerate this system and address the food crisis through alternative approaches that prioritise sufficiency and equity.
Agata Meysner, is a member of Generation Climate Europe, the largest youth-led climate justice coalition in Europe, and Inês Costa Pereira teaches at the School of Agriculture at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, offer valuable contributions to this discussion.
