Alexander Zeldin
Four night-shift workers meet in a meat-processing factory. They are hired as cleaning assistants by a temporary employment agency, on precarious contracts. Each night, they clean. Every four hours, they take a break. They drink tea or coffee. They read magazines. They talk. When day breaks, they go home or head to another job. The cycle repeats, night after night. In the beginning they are strangers, but slowly, something changes...
Prendre Soin is the first chapter in the trilogy about inequality, of which Culturgest has already presented the unforgettable LOVE. It was created following a period of immersion in the working lives of people employed in cleaning jobs in England under so-called “Zero Hours” contracts. With raw honesty and dark humour, Alexander Zeldin offers us stories drawn from an invisible reality.
