EBA Laboratory
EBA Laboratory
Across Europe, disabled artists are challenging the boundaries of artistic forms, opening up new creative possibilities to audiences, fellow artists, and arts professionals. Europe Beyond Access, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, brings together ten leading arts organisations to promote the leadership of Deaf and disabled artists and transform the performing arts. Through co-productions, residencies, and laboratories, EBA creates opportunities for these artists to develop new work and access mainstream stages. As a project partner, Culturgest is hosting one of the EBA Laboratories, inviting disabled artists from across Europe to collaborate in a safe and accessible space. The lab unfolds in three stages: it begins at Culturgest in Lisbon, continues with an online workshop led by Holland Dance Festival, and concludes at Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona.
