The housing crisis has led people to protest for the social right to have an affordable home. This and other issues, such as social inequality, migration, the ecological crisis, and economic uncertainty, are on the agenda of contemporary society, alongside constantly changing social constellations and dynamics. What’s lacking in order to comply with the right to housing?

Within the scope of the festival Uma Revolução Assim - Luta e Ficção: A Questão da Habitação (A Revolution Like This - Struggle and Fiction: The Housing Question) (Sept 26th – Oct 6th 2024), an initiative by the Goethe-Institut Lisboa in partnership with Culturgest, and in collaboration with the curator Julia Albani and artist Nuno Cera, we invite everyone to an assembly and collective reflection on what type of society we want to build. This public debate hosts presentations of cooperative and collaborative housing initiatives and projects, and promotes thinking about other types of inhabiting and new forms of living with the aim of building a festival of critical thinking, dialogue, and reflection. All ideas and project proposals are welcome.
