This is a past event.
Ricardo Toscano started out playing clarinet in a brass band, later joining the Luiz Villas-Boas Jazz School at the Hot Clube and dedicating himself to the alto sax. At 17, he was admitted to the Music School of Lisbon as a “gifted” student. One’s first impression of Ricardo Toscano is one of complete incredulity: how can anyone play with such impressive mastery of the instrument, with such a rare understanding of jazz’s grammar and syntax, showing such tremendous leaps of maturity every day? At the root of everything is his extraordinary intuition, promising a very bright future for us all.
