What else to say about Carlos Paredes, on his music and its importance? Perhaps it’s from this difficulty and apparent impossibility that the desire to create new and untouched material is born, coming from this world of permanent inspiration, as a gesture of gratitude. On its centenary, a handful of venues and institutions come together to celebrate the legacy of master Paredes in a special way: inviting two guitarists for whom the music of the author of Movimento Perpétuo, reinforces their belief in art every day. Norberto Lobo, one of the most important and inventive Portuguese guitarists, joins forces with Ben Chasny, an American and an essential name in the free thought of the guitar, also through his Six Organs of Admittance moniker, to create a new universe, another for all this fundamental energy left by Carlos Paredes. Walking to a new place seems like the perfect tribute to a legacy left by someone who always explored the limits of his mastery.
