Inspired by the international success of the documentary Human (2015), Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Anastasia Mikova decided to make a follow-up film and interviewed 2000 women, in 50 countries, over a period of two and a half years. The outcome of these interviews was Woman.

We listen to the statements made by women of various ages, from different ethnic backgrounds and social strata, in answer to the same questions: what are the most striking stages of their lives, from childhood to old age? What are their dreams and hopes, their fears and scars? What do they expect from life, society and men? What do they think about motherhood?

At a time when the woman’s role in society is being so frequently discussed, Woman brings us an in-depth view of the world, seen through the eyes of women.
