Economy and Climate Change: Contradiction or opportunity?
We are going through exceptional times that require us to stop looking at change as something future and face it as urgent action, in the present. The war has diverged some conversations, but the ongoing climate change process is not on hold. In fact, the conflict reinforced the need to have a conversation about the environment, energy transition, and socio‐economic changes. But what happens when sustainability becomes a mere business marketing tool? Is it possible to be truly “green” and profitable? What social impacts do these measures have? And what structural changes are taking place to make the future present?
Because climate challenges are not negotiable, we propose a day of workshops, debates and conferences to look at the vitality of strategic reflection on environmental problems and the challenges that surround them — economy, innovation, leadership and energy. This day includes a discussion of ideas, but also an active learning component that encompasses both basic knowledge for the conceptualisation of the unique phenomenon we face, and more complex reflections involving private and public entities.

Diversities and Inclusion
The theme of Diversities and Inclusion constitutes one of the fundamental pillars for a sustainable future of contemporary societies and their organisations. Globalisation creates and allows new ways of communicating, working, and traveling, making a multicultural, and sometimes hostile world enter a dialogue. We recognise that algorithms lock us into single‐minded tribes. How can we accept what is different from us when we only dialogue with our equals? Is “All different, all the same” something we should aim for? Should we treat equally what is different?
This day will be dedicated to debating this topic with those who have thought and acted so that our society is effectively more diverse, focusing on the way we work in companies and organisations. In the morning, two workshops address the topics of Visible Diversity (skin colour, age, disability, among others) and Invisible Diversity (religion, gender, etc.). In the afternoon, in conferences and debates, we will give place to the discussion that puts Diversity and Meritocracy in tension. We will talk about good practices and the challenges posed to leadership.
