Since 2024, and especially during 2025, Hedera 4tet has established an innovative project in the field of sound creation, seeking to place its music in dialogue, activated by other artists and disciplines, bringing questions and results to the body of its compositions and, ultimately, to the very essence of the ensemble. Addressing the boundaries between influence, sharing, interpretation, and creation, the group invited artists from various fields to co-create with the quartet through their different practices. Pedro Carneiro, Gonçalo M. Tavares, and Pedro Calapez were names that provided building material: in this case, music, but also literature or visual arts as catalysts for an idea of live sound composition; contaminated and contaminating. In the final stretch of this enormous undertaking, the violins of Carlos Zíngaro, Bernardo Aguiar, David Magalhães Alves, and Francisco Lima da Silva are placed among the gestures of Vera Mantero — a choreographer and performer who has so skillfully used music and sound in her pieces — for two unique and truly unrepeatable takes, with music and movement in intrinsic creative dialogue.
