In this edition of P.E.D.R.A., we invited choreographer Rui Horta to open his repertoire to young people from Lisbon, Loulé and Torres Vedras. The result is an intense exchange within a creative universe filled with ideas, choreographic materials and questions about what it means to dance, to think and to reinterpret a repertoire. From this shared foundation, each group responded in its own way: expanding gestures, reworking scores, embodying references and reinventing meanings.After months of work, the young performers meet again on stage to present the outcome of this process. The creation unveiled here weaves fragments of repertoire with new compositions, revealing a living dialogue between memory and the present, between transmission and transformation.P.E.D.R.A. demonstrates how repertoire is renewed and reimagined when it passes through new bodies, new voices and endless ways of imagining dance.
