The Phantom of the Opera is a Gothic novel by the French writer Gaston Leroux, which was made world famous through Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music. 

In the version by Os Primeiros Sintomas, the famous story of a phantom who falls in love with a young opera singer is presented in a staging that returns to the initial literary work in all its romantic, haunting, but also comic splendour. Even so, the show does not renounce the use of music and dance, counting upon a new translation by João Paulo Esteves da Silva, original music by Sérgio Delgado, choreography by Lígia Roque, and a large cast of sixteen actors to create a total work of art.
