Resident Audience Collective: Open Sessions
Ricardo Barbosa Vicente’s talk proposes a reflection on the intersection between architecture, space, and artistic creation, highlighting the impact that built-up environments have on the experience and enjoyment of the arts. Ricardo Barbosa Vicente explores how spaces shape and are shaped by artistic practice and the relationship with audiences, between the "white cube" of museums and the "black box" of stages. Based on his experience in Portugal, Cape Verde, and São Tomé, he reflects on hybrid spaces as agents of experimentation and cultural transformation.

BIOGRAFIA
Ricardo Barbosa Vicente nasceu em Lisboa em 1980, filho de cabo-verdianos, é Licenciado em arquitetura, mestrado executivo e doutorando pelo MIT Portugal / KIC InnoEnergy. Atualmente é assessor técnico e cultural na embaixada de Cabo Verde em Portugal. Em arquitetura trabalhou em projetos de várias escalas em diferentes países, recebeu distinções e prémios, entre eles, finalista do World Architecture Festival, Prémio Nacional de Arquitetura de Cabo Verde, ArchDaily Building of the year. Após projetar o Centro Cultural de Cabo Verde em Lisboa, aceitou o desafio de gerir, programar e curar na instituição. Formou-se na SNBA e tem colaborado como independente com diferentes instituições públicas e privadas, nacionais e internacionais. Foi co-curador da X Bienal de Arte de São Tomé e Príncipe com apoio pela Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Atualmente integra o júri do concurso de Apoio à Criação Artística - Artes Performativas, Artes Visuais, Cinema e Cruzamentos Disciplinares da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
