As Far as Impossible

Tiago Rodrigues

As Far as Impossible

Created from interviews with people who work at the International Committee of the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, the show brings back the experience of humanitarian professionals to talk about their experiences in the extreme conditions in which they work daily: How to manage a refugee camp? How to deal with life or death choices? How can you continue when you know you're not going to change the world?

Far from our universe, where things are possible, the characters speak of the “impossible”, where war, hunger, and violence destroy the future and life itself. Without falling into sentiment or morals, it is the daily and intimate experience of those who refuse the title of ‘hero’ that is at the centre of this theatre.

Dans la mésure de l’impossible premiered in Geneva in 2022. The performances at Culturgest concludes a two-year tour that took the show to theatres and festivals around the world.
