TORTOISE
TORTOISE
Like a comet, Tortoise left a luminous trail after their arrival in the early 1990s. From the Chicago rock scene to the world, they contributed decisively to the expansion of post-rock, a musical genre that combined the formalism of guitar bands with new electronic music, subtly tempered by 1970s German krautrock.
Over three decades of activity, they have woven a visionary discography, always one step ahead of their time. Touch is their first work in almost a decade and marks their move to the International Anthem label. But unlike most post-rock projects, it is on stage that Tortoise consolidates their uniqueness: five exceptional musicians demonstrate how their music is made of human energy and real magnetism. Tortoise are unquestionably one of the most influential bands of recent decades, and it is the instrumental dance of their concerts that continues to affirm their unbeatable legacy.
