From now on, at the end of each season, Culturgest will occupy new spaces by going outdoors. For three weekends, we will be opening the summer with art, cinema, thought, music and theatre. The theme for this first edition of the event will be Grand Magic – Do we live in a world of illusion?

Everything begins in the open-air amphitheatre, with the première of Tónan Quito’s new play, based on the comedy by the Italian dramatist Eduardo De Filippo. This will serve as a pretext for a conversation about fake news between the director and Joana Gonçalves Sá, with the support of Fumaça. The Caixa Garden will be transformed into an outdoor cinema, with a programme of short films linked to the theme of magic. Culturgest’s art bookshop will also be brought out into the garden and there will be guided tours of the CGD’s art collection. Two concerts will be presented in the main hall of the building: magical performances by the Quarteto Lopes-Graça and João Barradas with his accordion. And admission to the exhibitions will also be free on these weekends.

This will be our first encounter. In unusual places, but always with room for everybody.
